Laws decide wich forms of oppression are allowed, Lord. And because of that, those laws are servants to those in power, for whom oppression is given as a right over those who have little or no power.

About This Quote

The word “Law” is used to define, define or shape. The Law is the term that defines the oppression of the weak over the strong. The people who are poor are given little power by their own laws. If you are an oppressed person, there is no way to fight back with the powers that be.

When you are poor you have no power to fight back, so you accept it. However, once you have power over someone else, you can do whatever you want to them, because they have no power to fight back against you.
